Strawberry Green Tea TinNot too long ago, I found this particular brand at a trade show in a kiosk. They are based close to where I live in Edmonton, AB, Canada. Pine Creek's had quite a few unique flavors. This one in particular had caught my eye.

Personally I love green tea, so when I saw a strawberry green tea, I was ecstatic. A combination of my favorite fruit and favorite tea? How could I not resist such a combination?

The aroma of the tea is quite lovely. You can smell the strawberry right away and just enough of the green tea as well. Just the aroma alone you would think highly of this tea, but the taste was not as good as I was hoping. Don't get me wrong...the taste of the tea is still overall not too bad, but the strawberry becomes more subtle and the green tea is weaker as well.

The strawberry green tea, I would recommend is better colder than a hot tea as the sweetness of the strawberry becomes more pronounced as the temperature is lower. It's not a tea I would recommend re-steeping as the first steeping is already weak in flavor already.

  1. Hi, I used to drink green tea and strawberry tea, but never had tea that combined both of them. May I know what do you mean by re-steeping? Never heard of that before, thanks

By re-steeping, I mean after you finish the first pot/cup of tea, you use the same tea leaves and make another pot/cup. Some tea tastes better after 1 or 2 steeps before.

I was so excited when I read the words ‘strawberry green tea’. Two of my favourite things in the world. I really struggle to find a great flavoured green, many of them are so-so and like this one, they smell better than they taste. Still, your rating is not too bad, I might have to give this one a try. Thanks for the recommendation!

No problem. It is true that it is hard to find a good flavored green tea. I think that they were having a little bit of a tough time to balance out the flavor. It almost tasted like a white tea, not green.
